10 amazing wedding venues to see in Italy

Italy caught my imagination long before I stepped there. The Trevi Fountain had endless pasta and high fashion romantic visions. Magnificent cathedrals, rural vineyards and cliffside villas. Who would be surprised if such visions attract so many brides and grooms to Italian venues for their wedding day?

I soon learned that Italy is much more than I had imagined. Walking on the streets of Rome felt like walking between two worlds perfectly intertwined with the past and present. Often the past is left untouched, and the modern world does its best to navigate around it.

Of course, it was an undeniable appreciation for food and slowing down to enjoy a meal together. (And yes, actually, I ate my weight in pasta.)

All this is romance in itself. Meeting the worlds, getting to know the past as you move towards the future, enjoying the moments and being surrounded by people who mean the most. If you are considering Italy for your “I did” day, there are a few places below that capture the essence of an Italian getaway.

The rooms are simply decorated with unique antique furniture to take your magnificent step over time.
